Introduction
Introduction
In designing the MVP for the My Hearby project, we are taking the first step to more complex personalization on Hearby.com.
To do that, we need a solid foundation of the basics to My Hearby, and that's what this MVP design stands to do.
Included in the My Hearby MVP
The architecture for the user profile
The ability to create, view and edit lists of followed shows, venues, and artists
An easily accessible view of the user's followed shows on the map view (unique to Hearby.com among competitors)
A profile section where user's can see and edit the table stakes of their identity on Hearby.com.
A user profile button and dropdown menu allowing for easy site navigation on mobile

The Local Live Music Lover
This is who Hearby was built by and for – the people looking to discover shows they didn't know were out there (esp. the local shows they can't find anywhere else). This is our North Star user that we can't forget.

A new My Hearby page with an event grid curated with events from artists and venues you follow – this will later include AI event recommendations.
The My Hearby page also acts as the new home for your saved event, venue and artist lists.

The menu is responsive by design, highlighting in pink whichever page you currently find yourself on. This simple but effective signifier reminds the user where they are in the menu, thus preventing them from clicking on the current page to no effect.

The "My Events" map is currently a work in progress (in iteration). The idea is to add a view of only your events as a filter on the map when the user is logged in, allowing them to highlight the shows they follow.
Event pins the user does not follow are purposefully left visible (but dimmed) so that we continue to encourage discovery while maintaining a clear distinction between followed/unfollowed pins.
