Introduction
One of the most common questions I get as a barista when customers are interested in buying our beans is "Which bag would you recommend?"
A coffee quiz, accessible via a QR code at the counter, allows coffee lovers to whittle down their options with the same gimmicky joy and sense of anticipation we get when completing an online personality quiz – like the ever-viral 5 Love Language Quiz.

The Process
The Process
1
Content
The quiz is meant to be fun, sure, but I also wanted to make it accurate. Coffee *can be* an exact science, especially for those that love it dearly (which many of our customers do). So, I used Café Grumpy's existing "Coffee Buying Guide," created and edited by our founder and CEO, to provide the content in the quiz.
2
Design
Although the design process, as always, expanded into later stages of the project, initial wire framing and prototyping took place in Figma. This is where I put the screens together to present to Café Grumpy leadership.
3
Design Review
I pitched the project to the founder and CEO of Café Grumpy, gauging interest and gathering feedback via sharing a video of the Figma prototype.
4
Development
Once approved, I moved on to development in Framer, building my designs out from scratch as detailed components.
5
Implementation & Marketing
In this final stage, I created marketing materials with the QR code linked to the quiz to be displayed at our locations. In addition, the QR code was integrated into our digital menu and as a link on our website, cafegrumpy.com.
